Project Overview

James and Andrea Stanford, the husband and wife team behind 720 Glassworks, create handcrafted flame worked glass art that reflects both exceptional craftsmanship and a philosophy centered on creativity, transformation, and personal growth.

Their goal was to strengthen their online presence with a cohesive brand experience and an e-commerce website that better represented their work while making it easier for customers to discover and purchase their art.

Together, we refreshed their visual identity, redesigned key marketing materials, and launched a new Shopify website built to support future growth.

The Challenge

Like many successful makers, James and Andrea had built a loyal following through galleries, wholesale relationships, and in person events. However, their existing website no longer reflected the quality of their craftsmanship or provided the online shopping experience they envisioned. They also wanted to evolve their brand while honoring the story, symbolism, and artistic meaning that had always been at the heart of 720 Glassworks.

Project Goals

• Modernize their online presence with a professional, engaging website.
• Improve the customer shopping experience through a streamlined e-commerce platform.
• Refresh the visual identity while preserving the meaning and recognizable elements of the original brand.
• Build a scalable Shopify website that could grow with the business.
• Better connect with both retail and wholesale customers.

James & Andrea blend their artistic vision and over a decade of experience, crafting a unique identity that extends beyond exceptional glass pieces, it embodies the profound philosophy of "720."

The Outcome

The completed project gave 720 Glassworks a cohesive brand experience that now extends across its website, marketing materials, packaging, and customer communications. Their new Shopify website provides a modern online storefront that better reflects the quality of their handcrafted artwork while making it easier for customers to browse collections and purchase online.

By combining an updated visual identity with a scalable e-commerce platform, professional business email, and supporting brand assets, 720 Glassworks is now positioned with a stronger digital foundation to support both retail and wholesale growth.

  • Identifying Pain Points: Exploring New Strategies

720 Glassworks is eager to bolster its B2C operations. However, its current website lacks the essential functionality and engagement required to effectively captivate its customer base. This deficiency has led to underwhelming sales conversions, which do not align with their goals for expanding this sector of their business.

The project's goal is to revitalize the brand, heighten awareness among consumers and businesses, and expand brand reach for increased connections and conversions. This includes targeting new customers in both B2C and B2B sectors.

  • LOGO REDESIGN

Goal:  To authentically and effectively communicate the company's mission: "To inspire personal growth and celebrate the beauty of individual expression."

  • Logo Concepts to Final

In collaboration with the client, the final logo integrates essential elements: the original 720 maker's mark style, an integrated eclipse, and a tree reminiscent of Andrea's previous logo. This creates a visually distinctive design that embodies their company vision.

  • Identity Items

Business Cards - Incorporating the new logo and branding, the back side offers the option for various images on the back with a QR code to compel visitors to the website to browse and purchase. MOO printing offers "variety printing" at no extra charge.

Branded Identity Items, including letterhead that can be used for invoicing, a thank you card and a trifold brochure to enclose in with orders and give out to prospective customers. Pricing intentionally does not appear in order on the brochure enabling it to be used for both wholesale and retail customer distribution.

  • Square Tri-Fold Brochure

This brochure serves a dual purpose: it accompanies both retail and wholesale orders during shipment and acts as a handy takeaway at trade shows. It provides a comprehensive overview of their information, including contact details, along with a convenient QR code for instant access to their website.

Since this is not a typical size for a trifold, research was done to make sure this was a realistic project to budget for printing. Priority Print Service is a good source without a high minimum order. At the time of this research (2024) the cost would be $97.50 for 250 full color both sides, glossy.
