Project Overview

When I first connected with TT, White Squirrel Kitchens was still in the early stages of launching and not quite ready for a website, so instead of rushing the process, we stayed in touch.

A few months later, with more clarity and momentum, we reconnected and moved forward. While WordPress was originally considered, we both aligned on Shopify as the better fit for the business and its future growth.

The first version of the site focused on building a strong online presence and sharing the story behind the brand. Only weeks after launch, local delivery became the next natural step, and because the site was built on Shopify, we were able to expand quickly without needing to rebuild.

The Challenge

White Squirrel Kitchens was in the early stages of building its business, with strong momentum but not yet ready for full e-commerce. Founder TT Baum needed more than just a website, he needed a strong online presence that could introduce the brand, tell the story behind the product, and create a foundation for future growth.

The challenge was building a site that worked for where the business was at that moment, while thinking ahead to what would be needed as it expanded.

As part of the project, we also reformatted the existing logo, creating clean, usable files for both web and print so the brand could be presented consistently across all platforms.

Logo File Preparation

As part of this project, I refined and prepared the existing logo for practical, everyday use across both web and print.

The original logo needed proper formatting and export preparation, so I created clean, organized logo files in SVG, PNG, and PDF formats. This ensured the brand could be used consistently on the website, marketing materials, packaging, and for future business needs beyond the initial site launch.

This was included as part of the project to help create a stronger, more usable foundation for the business moving forward.

The Outcome

A clean, story-driven Shopify website that established White Squirrel Kitchens’ online presence and created a scalable foundation for growth.

The site launched first as a discovery and brand-building tool, then quickly evolved to support local delivery as the business gained traction. Built on Shopify, the platform now supports continued expansion into product growth, full online ordering, and future wholesale ordering without needing to rebuild.

Home Page

The homepage was designed to give visitors a clear introduction to White Squirrel Kitchens, combining product discovery, brand story, and customer education in one place.

It highlights the products, shares the heart behind the business, answers common questions about plant-based cheese, and builds trust through retail locations and customer testimonials.

The goal was to help new visitors quickly understand what makes the brand different while guiding them naturally toward shopping and ordering.

About Page

The About page was designed to build connection and trust by sharing the story behind White Squirrel Kitchens and the passion behind the product.

It gives customers a deeper understanding of TT’s journey, from recovery and rediscovery in the kitchen to creating handcrafted plant-based cheeses rooted in tradition and purpose.

By blending personal storytelling with product education, the page helps visitors connect with the brand on a more meaningful level and reinforces the quality and intention behind every product.

Product Page

The site was built in phases to support growth as it happened, rather than adding features too early.

Phase one focused on creating a strong online presence and helping customers discover the brand, products, and story behind White Squirrel Kitchens.

Phase two added local delivery for the Asheville area, making it easy for customers to order directly through the site.

The next phase is shipping, with the added challenge of finding eco-friendly packaging that protects a perishable product while staying true to the company’s values and commitment to sustainability.

FAQ Page

The FAQ page was designed to do more than answer common questions, it helps educate customers who may be new to plant-based cheese while also supporting SEO through valuable, searchable content. By addressing ingredients, process, ordering, and common curiosities, the page builds trust, improves customer understanding, and helps bring the right audience to the site organically.

Good Food = Good Life (Blog)

The blog was designed as a space for sharing articles, updates, and brand storytelling while also supporting long-term SEO growth. Organized into three categories, it creates a clear structure for content as the business expands, making it easier for customers to stay connected and for search engines to better understand the site.

Contact page

The contact page was designed to be simple, clear, and easy to use, giving customers a direct way to connect for questions, orders, wholesale inquiries, and future opportunities. It creates a professional touchpoint for the business while helping turn interest into conversation and potential sales.
