Project Overview

When I first connected with TT, he was working with Mountain BizWorks and still in the early stages of launching White Squirrel Kitchens. The business wasn’t quite ready for a website yet, so instead of rushing the process, we stayed in touch.

A few months later, with more momentum and clarity around the business, we reconnected and planned the right next step.

Originally considering WordPress, we both aligned on Shopify as the better fit for where the business was headed. The first version of the site focused on creating a strong online presence, helping customers understand the product, the process, and the story behind the brand.

Only weeks after launch, local delivery became the next natural step. Because the site was built on Shopify, we were able to expand quickly and support the business as it continued to grow.

The Challenge

White Squirrel Kitchens was in the early stages of building its business, with strong momentum but not yet ready for full e-commerce. Founder TT Baum needed more than just a website, he needed a strong online presence that could introduce the brand, tell the story behind the product, and create a foundation for future growth.

The challenge was building a site that worked for where the business was at that moment, while thinking ahead to what would be needed as it expanded.

As part of the project, we also reformatted the existing logo, creating clean, usable files for both web and print so the brand could be presented consistently across all platforms.

Logo File Preparation

As part of this project, I refined and prepared the existing logo for practical, everyday use across both web and print.

The original logo needed proper formatting and export preparation, so I created clean, organized logo files in SVG, PNG, and PDF formats. This ensured the brand could be used consistently on the website, marketing materials, packaging, and for future business needs beyond the initial site launch.

This was included as part of the project to help create a stronger, more usable foundation for the business moving forward.

The Outcome

A clean, story-driven Shopify website that established White Squirrel Kitchens’ online presence and created a scalable foundation for growth.

The site launched first as a discovery and brand-building tool, then quickly evolved to support local delivery as the business gained traction. Built on Shopify, the platform now supports continued expansion into product growth, full online ordering, and future wholesale ordering without needing to rebuild.

Product Page

The site was built in phases to support growth as it happened, rather than adding features too early.

Phase one focused on creating a strong online presence and helping customers discover the brand, products, and story behind White Squirrel Kitchens.

Phase two added local delivery for the Asheville area, making it easy for customers to order directly through the site.

The next phase is shipping, with the added challenge of finding eco-friendly packaging that protects a perishable product while staying true to the company’s values and commitment to sustainability.
